In this body of work I am aspiring to develop a contemporary iconography that can depict and reveal the invisible, immortal and eternal presence of the divine; something that for me is a truth. I am attempting to construct photography-based artworks, which are intended to be representative of derelict and neglected spaces where human habitation seems to once have been. I am working with found and self-generated imagery to create composite images that are intended to convey as much about representation as they are the presence of the divine in everyday life.

The large-scale video works of Bill Viola, the photograms of Anne Ferran and the composite photographic works of Sarah Charlesworth, each provide inspiration and guidance to my current thinking and practice.
